The Franco-Thai Young Talent Research Fellowship Program aims at jumpstarting the career of young researchers from Thailand and from France by giving them the opportunity to develop promising collaboration with their counterparts.
This program supports Thai and French post doctorates who are lecturers or researchers in public or private institutions intending to conduct a research project of two (2) to six (6) months within a laboratory or research center located in France (for Thai candidates) or in Thailand (for French Candidate). The Thai post doctorates must graduate in 2019 onwards and must be affiliated with an institution in Thailand while the French post doctorates must graduate in 2014 onwards and must collaborate with institutions in Thailand. All fields of research will be considered and the selection will be made based on the criteria of excellence.
For the candidates who are currently PhD student, they must complete their PhD by February 2024, before leaving for France or Thailand.
This program operated by Campus France under the coordination of the French Embassy in Thailand, is co-funded by both Thai (NXPO – PMU-B) and French (Ambassade de France) parties.
The project proposal in the area of Humanities, Social Sciences and Innovation is highly encouraged. It is to support the Year of Innovation and policies of the Thai Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand and French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

The funding provided by PMU-B will be divided into 2 phases :

NB: Neither bench fees nor support for finding housing in France and Thailand will be provided by this program. The laboratory or the International Relations Department of the host university should be able to offer assistance on this matter.
2.Selection Process
In order to identify the successful candidates, the selection committee will consider:
A specific attention will be given to applicants who have found other sources of funding for their project and who are lecturers or researchers in public or private institutions.
3.Selection Schedule
Deadline for Submission : November 15th, 2023
Results : March 2024
Departures can be scheduled from April 2024
Please note that :
– all projects should be finished by December 31st, 2024
– only selected candidates will be contacted.
4.Documents to be provided:
– For Thai post doctorates: the LOS from institutions that candidates are affiliated. Contents of LOS should indicate that the institutions will be allocating the funding from PMU-B to the candidate.
– For French post doctorates: the LOS from institutions that candidates collaborate. Contents of LOS should indicate that the institutions will be allocating the funding from PMU-B to the candidate.
